Flemington Spotlight: Kissimmee River Pottery

We start our spotlight for the week at Kissimmee River Pottery, a stunningly colorful pottery studio and gallery on Stangl Rd. This studio and gallery was founded in 1990 by John Fulwood to fulfill a 40+ year passion for clay and pottery. John says he still finds himself fascinated daily by the ever-changing characteristics of clay. John moved his pottery studio to Flemington nine years ago and has found a community of like-minded people who equally love and appreciate the study and art of pottery.

Kissimmee is more than just a pottery studio. It is a community of people from all walks of life, coming together to make pots and share ideas and stories and a few good company. Kissimmee offers classes for all skill levels, so whether you are just getting your hands full of clay or are looking to refine your skills, the team at Kissimmee is ready to help guide you on your journey. Students can even take advantage of the open studio time to explore their creative projects.

Fun Fact: John loves taking a walk to his neighbors at Factory Fuel for some coffee and baked goods.
