Light Up Pink on Stangl
Stangl glows pink for breast cancer awareness month
This past Saturday, October 3rd, homes, businesses, landmarks, and public spaces were encouraged to light up pink in a powerful show of unity, remembrance, and support for those fighting against breast cancer. Evolve Pink hosted a launch party at the Stangl Factory the night before their 2nd Annual Strides of Strength Walk so Stangl Road became the "Pink Light Up" flagship.
The night continued with a performance by Flemington resident, Micki Niedziejko. She performed an acoustic setlist of originals and covers, concluding with a fitting rendition of "Pink Pony Club" by Chappel Roan.
Lori Plumstead, a representative of Evolve Pink then spoke about the event's conception. She reflected on the vision of seeing pink lights glowing in windows, on porches, on storefronts across New Jersey. She remarked about how powerful it would be to see a multitude of a physical glowing sign of support for any woman fighting breast cancer.
With the sun setting, the time to #lightuppinknj arrived. Switches were flicked and extension chords were connected. As it got darker, the pink pink hue radiated from the lights shining in storefronts all along Stangl.
