Black History Month Celebration at Stangl Stage

Black History Month Celebration
Join us Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Stangl Stage at 5:30 PM as we celebrate and commemorate Black History Month in Hunterdon County with food, music and dance expressions of African American culture and arts.
Featured presenters:

Princess Gamble from Howard University who will share her professional journey as well as her vital work in spearheading the movement to build the National Museum of African American History in Washington, D.C.

Elaine Buck & Beverly Mills, authors of “If These Stones Could Talk,” will be sharing a presentation based on their newest book, “African Americans of Central New Jersey: A History of Harmony and Hostility.” Copies of both books will be available for purchase at Act 2 Books (24 Central Avenue, Flemington) and at the event.
Iby Ikotidem, celebrating her 16th Black History Month event in Hunterdon County, will lead an interactive community conversation on “What does Black History Month mean to you?”
