Business Profile of the Week: Skunktown Distillery

Step inside the wonderful world that is @skunktowndistillerynj ! Russ Hoffman took over the business on Minneakoning Rd – then moved to their current location at Stangl Arts District in October 2022. “Our goal is to create a relaxed atmosphere where you can come in and enjoy yourself. Bring your own food or get it delivered here. We have trivia night, karaoke night, and live music. It’s also a great spot to watch Football.” Skunktown has a large open room and a private area to rent upstairs for parties small to large. As a craft distillery, Skunktown makes all 9 of its spirits in-house, including a potato-based vodka, sourced from a local farm in Robbinsville. “Everything we do here is bought in NJ; our rye comes from Union, NJ; our peaches are from upstate, and all our spirits are handcrafted here, in-house, says Ryan – Skunktown’s head distiller. Their best-selling items are their Apple Pie Moonshine – a maple cinnamon rum-based drink. Our Skunktown Mule – (apple pie + ginger beer) and our Skunktown Hot Apple Cider – (warmed Apple Pie with spices). We also have “Noggin on Heaven’s Door” – our take on eggnog with our signature Apple Pie. Their spicy vodka has won a double gold medal at the Finger Lakes International Wine and Spirits Competition in NY. “When we decided to move to this location, we knew there would be a lot of potential and become “the place to be” in Flemington. Robin Lapidus started “Sip N Stroll Thursdays,” which has been a tremendous success for all of the store owners here,” says Russ. “We’re happy to be here and looking forward to all of the future events, love being a part of building this awesome community.” Skunktown Distillery is open Tues – Thurs 4-9pm, Friday 4-10pm, Saturday 2-10pm and Sunday 2-8pm.
